All are welcome to gather the night before the wedding and kick off celebrations! We’ll have beer, wine, and light appetizers. Bluejacket is in Navy Yard (near the Nats stadium), so if you’d like to grab dinner before or after, there are tons of places to choose from.

The official event! We’ll kick things off with a cocktail hour - don’t worry, we’ll be there too! Around 6:00pm, we’ll say our “I dos”, followed by dinner and plenty of dancing (yes, we'll have a band!) until 10:00pm.

Really want to book a Hilton? Or a Marriot? DC has plenty of hotels, so feel free to stay wherever you'd like. Here are some areas to think about when looking for other hotels:
- Downtown
City Center - Right in the heart of the city, close to the White House. In between welcome drinks (in Navy Yard) and the wedding (in Petworth).
- Navy Yard
- Fun area with tons of restaurants and bars (and the Nats ballpark!). Welcome drinks are in this area, so could save an Uber ride Friday night.
- Rossyln
Courthouse - Over the bridge in Virginia. Some nice restaurants and bars, but could be a lengthy Uber ride to both welcome drinks and the wedding. But definitely cheaper than Navy Yard and Downtown options!
Transportation
Welcome drinks are a ~ 20 minute drive from the Hamilton Hotel. The wedding venue is ~ 15 minutes.
We recommend a rideshare app (Uber or Lyft) to get to any scheduled events. We will be providing rideshare gift cards/vouchers ahead of the wedding – stay tuned for details!

If you plan to drive, there are multiple parking garages around the welcome drinks venue in Navy Yard. But there is limited street parking available around the wedding venue, so please consider the rideshare option. Don't drink and drive!
If you are feeling adventurous, the city has multiple rideshare bike and scooter options.
We will not be providing a shuttle service.
We don't recommend walking through the city, especially to the wedding venue.
